I write for a Britain-based student news journal, Affairs Today. As part of my work for the publication, this past August I wrote about the phenomenon of coworking, a new model of workspace that defies traditional office space and competes with the “open-plan” model adopted by Google. Utilizing aspects of “third places” like coffee shops, coworking office spaces bring in a variety of “creative class”-type workers and create a non-traditional working environment.
